　2022年夏、ヨハン・ブルックスと5人の友人たちは、東京から北海道へのロードトリップに出発しました。
　旅の途中で東北の大きな祭りを訪れ、フェリーで北海道に渡り、最終的に遠軽に到着しました。ブルックス
はこの旅の思い出を写真に収め、今回の展示会で公開します。
　展示期間中、この旅を基にしたヨハンのサイン入り限定ジンを購入することができます。限定50部のナンバ
リング入りで、価格は2000円です。

ヨハン・ブルックスについて
　ヨハン・ブルックスは、東京を拠点に活動するフリーランスのフォトジャーナリスト兼ストリートフォトグ
ラファーです。イギリスで生まれ、ニューヨークで育ち、10年以上前に日本に移住しました。彼の代表的な
プロジェクトには、日本の消防団員の生活を描いた「Fire Corps」と、都市の衰退と再生を視覚的に表現
した「The Erosion Beneath」があります。ヨハンの作品は、東京、イタリア、韓国、アメリカのギャラリー
で展示され、『ジャパンタイムズ』などの様々な著名な出版物にも掲載されています。VoidTokyo写真集団
のメンバーとして、ヨハンは魅力的な映像を通じてビジュアルストーリーテリングの限界に挑戦し続けてい
ます。

ZEROについて
　ZEROは、昭和後期の特徴的な住宅を利用した22平方メートルのコンテンポラリーアートスペースです。アーティストが運営するスペースであり、独立系出版社「zerofeedback」の一部として、現代写真やビデオアートを専門としています。ZEROの使命は、独立した展示プロジェクトを支援し、芸術交流を促進し、世界中のアートスペースとつながることです。ZEROは、丁寧なキュレーションと展示デザインに重点を置き、各展示が観客に響くように取り組んでいます。

Unveils Inaugural Exhibition "北海道へ" Featuring Johan Brooks Nostalgic Road Trip
from Tokyo to Hokkaido

Tokyo, Japan – ZERO, a new contemporary art space in the Nagasaki neighbourhood of
Toshima-ku, Tokyo, is delighted to announce its first exhibition, "北海道へ," featuring
the evocative works of Johan Brooks. The exhibition documents a nostalgic summer road
trip from Tokyo to Hokkaido, capturing the essence of the journey through photography.

In the peak of summer 2022, Johan Brooks and five friends embarked on a road trip from
Tokyo to Hokkaido. Along the way, they visited Tohoku’s major festivals before taking a
ferry to Hokkaido, eventually arriving in Engaru. Brooks captured these memories, now
showcased in this exhibition.
During the exhibition, attendees can purchase a limited edition zine based on the trip,
signed by Johan Brooks. This exclusive zine (50 copies) will be available for ¥2000.

About the artist
Johan Brooks is a freelance photojournalist and street photographer based in Tokyo,
Japan. Born in the UK and raised in New York City, Johan relocated to Japan over a
decade ago, where he has immersed himself in documenting the vivid and dynamic life of
the streets. Johan's work has been exhibited in galleries across Tokyo, Italy, Korea,
and the United States, and has appeared in various esteemed publications such as The
Japan Times. A member of the VoidTokyo photography collective, Johan continues to push
the boundaries of visual storytelling through his compelling imagery.

About ZERO
ZERO is a contemporary art space housed in a distinctive residential property from the
late Showa era, covering 22 square meters. As an artist-run space and an extension of
the independent publisher 'zerofeedback,' ZERO specializes in contemporary photography
and video art. Our mission is to support independent exhibition projects, foster
artistic exchange, and connect with art spaces globally. ZERO is dedicated to promoting
thoughtful curation and exhibition design, ensuring each exhibition resonates with
audiences.
